Embracing Ease: Finding Joy in Simplifying Your Life and Business
Do you ever wonder if it needs to be so hard?
Same! After years of pushing, forcing and hustling in my business, a lot of feast, famine, and burnout, I decided to do things differently. I began to use EASE as my guide. I focused less on external results and even more on my internal state. It was a GAME-CHANGER!!
I always say JOY is our #1 job. I’m the first to admit that I am both a teacher and a student of this principle. Because Joy is a practice!
As I began to explore more ease in my life and work I noticed resistance coming up about things being ‘too easy’…old beliefs about needing to suffer for success rose up to the surface.
Where do these thoughts come from? Programming. Hearing things like “money doesn’t grow on trees” or the old adage “no pain no gain”...most of us were raised with beliefs like these.
What are your underlying beliefs about money and success? Feel like you have to sacrifice for it or struggle for it? I did too. And now I’m excited to share a new way…
As a Soulful CEO, I’ve spent a lot of time deconstructing unhelpful thoughts like these.
This month I’d love to support you in shifting your life with some potentially life-changing prompts. I encourage you to take some time, and create space to dig into these babies!
1. Embrace simplicity
Imagine making things more simple. What is the path of least resistance ie: most ease?
2. Get it DONE
Release perfectionism and JFDI (just f*cking do it;) What does 50% less force look like?
3. Use JOY as your barometer
Make Joy your new BFF. How does it feel when you think about doing the things that require force vs ease and flow? Do more of the things that feel like flow and allow ease to guide you.
4. Recognize “Should's” as red flags
What if I used inner excitement instead of pressure as a sign to move forward? Release the should’s and invite in the “I want to’s”...
5. ACT from Inspiration
Forceful action is depleting. What would it look like to act when you’re inspired?
6. Call in Support
The idea that we need to do it alone can keep us in struggle and suffering. What does more support look like for you?
Ease does not mean comfortable. In order to live a lit-up life we must be willing to move through discomfort.
How to do this with EASE? Call in support so you can feel better as you GROW!
Ready to use JOY as your new guide? There’s no need to go it alone. Book a call to see how I can support you on your journey towards more Joy and Ease in your life and business!
