Trusting The Timing: The Joy Journey

Life has a funny way of reminding us to slow down, doesn’t it? Last week, I had big plans to launch The Joy Journey podcast, but let’s just say the universe had other ideas. We hit a few road bumps—cue the deep breaths (and maybe a colourful word or two )

After a little reflection (and some coffee-fueled journaling), I realized something important: it was time to choose peace over pushing.

Because let’s be honest, forcing things into place never really works.

So, instead of stressfully sticking to a plan that wasn’t working, I made the choice to pause, breathe, and trust the timing.

Stress tells us to worry, push harder, and get frustrated when things don’t go as planned. Peace, on the other hand, invites us to surrender control, pause, and allow life to unfold in its perfect timing.

And you know what? That’s exactly what I’ve chosen to do. I’m leaning fully into peace, trusting that this journey—the detours and all—is just as important as the destination. Wild concept, right?

With this in mind, I wanted to share some journal prompts which might help you embrace peace, trust the timing, and invite more ease into your life too;
